Zephyr’s offers a specialist bereavement counselling service, designed to support both individuals and couples that have been touched by miscarriage, pregnancy loss or the death of a baby or child.
Our counselling service is for bereaved adults (parents, other family members and older siblings aged 18+), and is currently only available for those based in Nottingham or Nottinghamshire. We offer 12 free sessions of counselling, giving you the chance to really feel held and be heard.
You can learn more about how our service works and how it can help in the video below
Held in our warm and welcoming therapy room at Sherwood Community Centre, these sessions are suitable for both couples and individuals. Our team of counsellors have extensive experience with bereavement and grief; supporting your exploration of the experiences and feelings following a loss. We provide a non-judgemental, safe and open space that is centred around you.
Our therapy room is upstairs on the first floor of the community centre. If you have accessibility needs please let us know when you make your enquiry. We may also be able to offer sessions online or at an alternative location.
Zephyr’s work with 5 qualified bereavement counsellors, Andy, Rachael, Kymm, Manisha and Martin.

Each of our counsellors are experienced in supporting people through child bereavement and baby loss. All of our counsellors have their own professional supervision, to work mindfully within the boundaries of their professional relationship with you, supporting you with compassion and sensitivity. Our counselling service is highly confidential and operates diligently within the frameworks and guidance for UKCP and BACP registered therapists.

If you are ready to take the first step to support yourself through counselling, please get in touch with us to submit a referral form here. Once we receive your enquiry one of us will get back to you as soon as we possibly can. Please note that we are currently working through a waiting list for our counselling service.
Our counselling service is free to those who need it, but as it is fully funded by Zephyr’s, the continuation is subject to our funding availability and capacity.
This service has previously been supported by our friends at The Harley Jae Trust.
