Regrettably we have paused all new referrals into our adult counselling service. This comes following an unprecedented and unexpectedly high number of referrals over several months, much more so than we have had before. You can find out more here.
This is not a permanent closure, it is a pause in counselling referrals; all of our support groups and monthly activities are running as usual, and we encourage you to take a look at our groups and creative sessions, or to sign up to our monthly support listings email so you can keep up to date with our services.
If you’d like to be alerted of when the counselling referrals re-open please complete the form below
For those of you who are pregnant or trying to conceive after loss, we recognise that this journey can be emotionally complex, and may require a different approach to bereavement counselling. Because of this, we have an adapted referral process to ensure that we offer a specialist service, tailoring counselling support to best help individuals and couples navigating pregnancy after loss.
Having an adapted service means counsellors can arrange and schedule sessions mindfully to support specific needs during pregnancy, offering flexible support over a longer or (alternatively) a shorter, more concentrated period of time. Between you and the counsellor, sessions can be arranged to coincide with certain appointments and time frames. You may also have the option of combining online and in person sessions to help with other commitments and accessibility.
If you and/or your partner are pregnant and seeking support from Zephyr’s, please get in touch with Sarah at [email protected] and we can send you a referral form to complete. We will book an initial appointment to help assess your needs, and then allocate a counsellor from there.
We also run a support group HOPE pregnancy after loss who meet on a monthly basis and have a supportive community through a private Facebook group. These sessions provide peer support, plus antenatal care activities. HOPE provides a space for those on a similar journey, who have a shared understanding of loss. These sessions are drop-in, and do not require any advanced sign-up. However, if you are joining HOPE for the first time, please get in touch at [email protected] so that we can help you to feel welcome and prepared.
