Can I walk on hot coals?!

… and other things you may want to know…

The simple answer is yes! It’s a mind over matter thing, and yes – a human being really can walk over hot coals.

How can I do this?
You’ll be safely guided throughout by a fully certified and insured Firewalking Instructor from Firewalk.co.uk, who will prepare you mentally and physically for the moment you step onto the fire. Whilst the fire is lit, and the coals are then carefully spread out and prepared, an instructor will talk you through how it’s possible, and inspire you to believe that you truly can do this!

When and where?
Precise timings coming soon – the firewalk will take place in the evening, from approximately 5.30/6pm onwards.
Our venue is the brilliant Trent Navigation’s Big Shed – 17 Meadow Lane, NG2 3HS.

Will I be on my own?
You most certainly won’t! Whilst each person has their own special moment to walk over the hot coals (and some even choose to do so twice!) there will be a wonderful and supportive crowd there to cheer you on and support you.
We’d love to see folk joining up with friends, family and colleagues and taking the challenge on in teams too. Plus, if folk wish to support from the sidelines, they are very welcome to come along and be part of the crowd too.

Why?
In the words of one of our firewalkers last time…

“Zephyr’s supported me so much when I was on my own journey through loss, I really wanted to help fundraise for them and do something in memory of the babies that I lost too; it’s really special to have that chance to celebrate them.

For many of us we’ve been on loss journeys like this, it feels like we’ve walked on hot coals already, so there’s a sense of I’ve been through a really hard time and I can turn that into something positive, and use that to spur me on to make a difference.”
