Support for placement students and what to expect

Looking after our team is very important to everyone at Zephyr’s. We often say that joining our special charity is more like becoming part of our “family”; self-care and care for each other runs through all that we do.Our community of support for each other is just as integral as the support we offer to our beneficiaries is… Without care in the team we can’t be here for the bereaved parents and people who turn to us in their darkest rawest moments.

Here’s what you can expect from us, if you are successful in applying for a placement with Zephyr’s:
* A named contact to turn to if you need anything
* Peer support supervision
* Training and learning opportunities (for instance, we’ve funded many of our freelance therapists and staff to become accredited with The Foundation for Infant Loss and always look to share resources to enhance our team member’s understanding of loss and grief)
* Initial Assessments and client matching carried our by one of our experienced counsellors
* Access to Zephyr’s policies, staff handbook and care guidance, to help you find your way
* Use of our lovely counselling room to carry out face to face sessions
* Warmth and support, not only from our other counsellors, but the wider team too
* Reflective conversation, and completion of your end of placement documentation
* Continued support from Sarah our Therapy Service Lead and Carly our CEO
