Zephyr’s provides support, training and resources for healthcare professionals working within family bereavement services in Nottinghamshire. We understand that supporting healthcare staff is an essential part of Zephyr’s ethos and approach. We provide bi monthly meetings to update on our activity, as well as training sessions and an open door approach sharing experiences and conversations.
Zephyr’s Bi- Monthly Catch ups for Staff and Healthcare Professionals
Next sessions:
10am – 11am, Thursday 14th May 2026 and 9th July via teams
These sessions take place on the second Thursday of every other month (unless otherwise specified).
These bi-monthly catch-ups via MS Teams are led by Zephyr’s Founder and CEO, Carly Williams. The 1 hour session welcomes community staff and healthcare professionals who may be supporting bereaved families, helping them stay up-to-date with Zephyr’s activities and offerings. Carly will share information about our support services and make time for any questions or queries. We also send out a written summary of our upcoming support via email after each session. These catch-ups are not intended for bereaved parents themselves, but for the staff who are supporting them. Please get in touch with us directly if you would like to refer someone to our service.
We can offer support for anyone working within:
– The children’s hospital
– Local bereavement support services
– Early pregnancy support and foetal care
– Maternity or neonatal units
– Community midwifery
– Healthcare home visitors
– GP’s and doctors
– Staff working in mental health support services
– Chaplaincy, spiritual and pastoral care
– Trainees eg. midwives and nurses, counsellors etc.
Our aims are to ensure healthcare staff:
– Are confident in recommending what other support services are available to bereaved families
– Are able to access opportunities for their own learning and reflections
– Are supported by us in such a way that it helps them better support others
– Are part of an open conversation with us to help strengthen their support network and resources
Each meeting is around 45 minutes of Zephyr’s news and updates, with 15 minutes or so for any questions or thoughts at the end. Please use the form below to join our contact list.
